She holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto and is a former Certified Financial Planner in Canada, bringing strong financial expertise to her leadership roles. As Managing Partner of Golden Sun Developments, she leads a portfolio of projects across several provinces in Cambodia and works closely with partners on development planning, sales strategy, and complex transactions. With strong local market insight and hands on execution, Yein is focused on building Cambodia’s business community and fostering connections with Canadian talent and enterprises to support sustainable urban and economic development.

Monika Nowaczyk was born in Poland, raised in Canada, and has spent the past decade building businesses and advising organisations in Cambodia. She is the CEO of Beebee+Bongo and the Chief Knitting Officer of Cambodia Knits, two social enterprises that create dignified, formal employment for women while producing globally compliant, safety tested products for export markets. Through Cambodia Knits, she has first hand experience with the realities that SMEs face in Cambodia, from compliance expectations to the practical challenges of scaling production and managing quality for international buyers. Alongside her own enterprises, Monika consults with UN Women and has worked with the International Labour Organization where she engages the private sector on women’s leadership, inclusive procurement, and SME development. These roles give her both a practical and policy level understanding of Cambodia’s business environment and the barriers that small and growing enterprises must overcome. She also brings a strong network across chambers of commerce and business associations, connecting Canadian and Cambodian firms seeking to collaborate or expand. An open and inclusive leader, Monika is committed to ensuring that SME perspectives are represented at the board level and that the Chamber reflects strong inclusion and gender equality principles. Denis Barre has over 25 years of experience in Human Resources and Corporate Services and is committed to using his expertise to enhance the social and economic welfare of the Cambodian people. Beginning his career in 1993 in Cambodia with a Bachelor of Commerce, Denis initially worked in purchasing within the hospitality sector. He relocated to Canada in the early 2000s, where he earned designations including Project Management Professional and Chartered Professional Accountant, and completed the Harvard Executive Leadership In Residence Program in Boston. After a 20 year career in the Oil and Gas industry in Calgary, holding roles like Director of People Logistics at Petro Canada and Suncor Energy, Denis returned to Cambodia to start an HR Search and Consulting business at Convergences Asia and serves as Director, Secretary, and Treasurer at the Canadian Chamber of Commerce. Denis enjoys dual residency in Canada and Cambodia, actively engaging in community activities in Pursat.

David Stevenson is a Policy and Program Development Manager with APOPO where he works with government partners, development organisations, and private sector actors to advance humanitarian and rural development outcomes in Cambodia. His role focuses on helping communities turn cleared and restored land into lasting economic opportunity through climate smart agriculture, sustainable land management, and stronger market access. David also supports strategic initiatives at the Cambodian Institute for Research and Rural Development where he contributes to program design, value chain development, and partnership coordination across rice, cashew, mango, pepper, and horticulture sectors. With a background in computer science and field experience across multiple provinces, he applies practical technical and analytical skills to strengthen agricultural systems and support community resilience. David enjoys bringing people together, creating clear plans, and keeping progress steady from early concept through coordination and reporting so communities can build secure and more prosperous futures.

Mona Tep is an internationally respected business leader with more than twenty five years of experience in economic development, private enterprise, and organizational transformation across Cambodia, France, Canada, and Morocco. She is the CEO and Managing Partner of Advance European Medicare Center, a fast growing medical services provider in Phnom Penh, and the CEO and Managing Partner of Monaparady Limited, also known as Pharmacie de la Gare, one of Cambodia’s leading pharmaceutical retail and import companies. Her career also includes senior leadership roles in major USAID programs, industrial operations, and workforce development initiatives where she strengthened productivity, modernized management systems, and helped transition donor funded projects into sustainable local institutions. Fluent in English, Khmer, and French and educated in Canada, Mona brings deep cross cultural experience and long standing expertise advising government partners, development agencies, and private sector actors on investment, skills development, and strategic growth opportunities in Cambodia.

Malavy Moeun is the Founder of Soben Ventures, a research and advisory firm supporting businesses, investors, and development partners across Cambodia. Drawing on experience across Canada and Cambodia, she helps organizations navigate emerging markets through market analysis, investment insights, and strategic guidance. Malavy has worked with organizations including Gowling WLG, Emerging Markets Consulting, UNDP, and WorldFish across sectors such as digital literacy, aquaculture, crop insurance, and real estate. Her work brings together private sector and development perspectives, offering a practical understanding of the opportunities and challenges shaping Cambodia’s growth. Fluent in Khmer, English, and French, she helps connect stakeholders across borders and sectors.

Victor La is a Director and Chair of the Investment and Trade Committee at the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia, leveraging over 25 years of diverse international and regional experience in multi sector investment consulting to deepen Canada Cambodia economic ties and promote sustainable investment. His strategic leadership aligns CanCham’s advocacy with Cambodia’s Pentagonal Strategy and champions the Cambodia Enterprise Innovation Index to boost SME competitiveness. Mr. La provides expert investment consulting focused on high priority sectors like agriculture, agri tech, and Special Economic Zone development, while simultaneously driving business transformation and capacity building for local SMEs and entrepreneurs.
