Monika Nowaczyk was born in Poland, raised in Canada, and has spent the past decade building businesses and advising organisations in Cambodia. She is the CEO of Beebee+Bongo and the Chief Knitting Officer of Cambodia Knits, two social enterprises that create dignified, formal employment for women while producing globally compliant, safety tested products for export markets. Through Cambodia Knits, she has first hand experience with the realities that SMEs face in Cambodia, from compliance expectations to the practical challenges of scaling production and managing quality for international buyers. Alongside her own enterprises, Monika consults with UN Women and has worked with the International Labour Organization where she engages the private sector on women’s leadership, inclusive procurement, and SME development. These roles give her both a practical and policy level understanding of Cambodia’s business environment and the barriers that small and growing enterprises must overcome. She also brings a strong network across chambers of commerce and business associations, connecting Canadian and Cambodian firms seeking to collaborate or expand. An open and inclusive leader, Monika is committed to ensuring that SME perspectives are represented at the board level and that the Chamber reflects strong inclusion and gender equality principles. With roots in both Canada and Cambodia, she brings cross cultural experience and a genuine commitment to strengthening Canada Cambodia business ties.

Denis Barre has over 25 years of experience in Human Resources and Corporate Services and is committed to using his expertise to enhance the social and economic welfare of the Cambodian people. Beginning his career in 1993 in Cambodia with a Bachelor of Commerce, Denis initially worked in purchasing within the hospitality sector. He relocated to Canada in the early 2000s, where he earned designations including Project Management Professional and Chartered Professional Accountant, and completed the Harvard Executive Leadership In Residence Program in Boston. After a 20 year career in the Oil and Gas industry in Calgary, holding roles like Director of People Logistics at Petro Canada and Suncor Energy, Denis returned to Cambodia to start an HR Search and Consulting business at Convergences Asia and serves as Director, Secretary, and Treasurer at the Canadian Chamber of Commerce. Denis enjoys dual residency in Canada and Cambodia, actively engaging in community activities in Pursat.
