Join CanCham Cambodia for our next Urban Development Committee Meeting featuring Rachel Dubois, Founder of GOOD WOOD Furniture & Decor
Topic: “Old Wood, New Spaces: Reclaimed Teak in Contemporary Interiors”
What can a material with a previous life bring to a newly created space?
This session will explore reclaimed teak as both a material and a design element, from its origins and unique qualities to the creative possibilities it offers architects, designers, and developers working across residential, hospitality, and commercial spaces.
🌟 Why you should attend:
• Discover what makes reclaimed teak different and why its previous life matters
• Explore the possibilities of introducing old materials into contemporary spaces
• Consider where and how reclaimed teak can work within modern residential, hospitality and commercial projects
• Look beyond uniformity and mass production to explore a different approach to material selection and interior identity
The session will feature Rachel Dubois, Founder of GOOD WOOD Furniture & Decor, who has worked with teak furniture and interiors in Cambodia since 2017. Through GOOD WOOD, Rachel works with reclaimed, recycled, and responsibly sourced plantation teak, combining traditional craftsmanship and natural materials with contemporary furniture and interior projects.
