CanCham’s Vision Forward

CanCham Cambodia’s Honorary Board and Board came together to align priorities and strengthen collaboration as the Chamber continues to grow its impact in Cambodia. The Board reaffirmed CanCham’s ambition to be the trusted hub for Canada Cambodia business, with priorities including Government of Canada support for governance and certification, advancement of an Indo Pacific chamber network, and support for the 2026 Francophonie Summit in Cambodia.

Member Spotlight

Mr. Julien Tétrault, President of JTH Lawyers, was recognized as one of the Top 25 Immigration Attorneys for the sixth consecutive year. CanCham Cambodia congratulates Mr. Tétrault and his team on this achievement.

Cambodia Canada Trade Relations

CanCham Cambodia’s Chairwoman, Ms. Yein Ngo, attended the Cambodia Canada Trade Relations event at CamEd Business School. Discussions highlighted Cambodia’s long term appeal as an investment destination, with H.E. Christian DesRoches noting the country’s skilled workforce, competitive costs, and accessible decision makers.

CanCham Cambodia Committees Launching

The Investment and Trade Committee will serve as a strategic bridge between Canadian expertise and Cambodia’s high potential enterprises, with focus areas including agriculture, digital, cleantech, and high value manufacturing. The Urban Development Committee will bring together professionals from real estate, property development, construction, architecture, and asset management to exchange market insight and strengthen collaboration.

World Bank Economic Briefing

CanCham Cambodia supported a members only economic briefing delivered by the World Bank at Novotel under Chatham House rules. Key themes included regional instability and border tensions, rising global tariffs and trade uncertainty, and a correction in real estate and construction with wider effects on employment, credit, and domestic demand.

Prakas No. 117 on Business Registration

The Ministry of Commerce issued Prakas No. 117 to streamline and modernise business registration across the company lifecycle. Members are encouraged to review corporate filing processes, prepare for digital registration requirements, and monitor further guidance as implementation progresses.

Canada Cambodia Business Success Stories

The issue features ABA Bank, Manulife Cambodia, and Canadia Group and OCIC as examples of Canada linked business leadership contributing to Cambodia’s financial, economic, and community landscape.
