Urban Development Committee: Realities Shaping Cambodia’s Real Estate Market

On April 3, 2026, CanCham Cambodia convened members and guests at Sun Horizon Hotel for a candid discussion on Cambodia’s evolving real estate landscape. Key takeaways included the importance of cash flow discipline, affordable land constraints, proper title and tax structuring, and shifting buyer behaviour.

CanCham Cambodia Joins the CanCham Indo Pacific Network

On April 16, 2026, CanCham Cambodia joined 20 other chambers in signing a landmark MOU witnessed by Mark Carney to establish the Canadian Chambers of the Indo Pacific. The network gives members access to 21 Canadian chambers across the region and opens new opportunities for trade, partnerships, advocacy, and market expansion.

Cambodia’s National Financial Inclusion Strategy Launch

On April 23, 2026, Deputy Chair Monika Nowaczyk represented CanCham Cambodia at the launch of Cambodia’s National Financial Inclusion Strategy 2026 to 2030, convened by the National Bank of Cambodia with support from ADB and UNCDF. CanCham is represented on the Pillar 1 Technical Working Group on Women’s Financial Inclusion.

CanCham Connect Recap

CanCham Cambodia hosted a CanCham Connect evening on April 24, 2026 at Seekers, bringing members together for updates and open discussion. Key priorities included more cross sector networking, stronger Canada Cambodia business connections, and better access to partners, networks, and the Embassy.

Member Spotlight: Bromsgrove International School

Bromsgrove Cambodia announced a new integrated bilingual programme beginning in Year 1 for the 2026 to 2027 academic year. The pathway combines the Cambodian national curriculum with a British style international education and expands secondary year levels from Year 7 to Year 10.

Saskatchewan’s Global Trade Strategy

On April 30, 2026, CanCham Cambodia joined the Canadian Chambers of the Indo Pacific for a dialogue with Premier Scott Moe of Saskatchewan. The discussion highlighted Saskatchewan’s role in food and energy security and practical opportunities for Cambodia facing businesses in agri tech, sustainable value chains, and technology transfer.
