CanCham connects Cambodian business interests with partners in Montreal
Chair Yein Ngo joined the Canada-Cambodia Strategic Dialogue and a Fasken luncheon to discuss trade, regional opportunities and bilateral cooperation.
CanCham Cambodia Chair Yein Ngo brought the Chamber's business perspective to Montreal on 9 June 2026, joining Canadian and Cambodian business leaders, investors and chamber representatives for the Canada-Cambodia Strategic Dialogue.
The discussion explored trade, regional opportunities and the potential to strengthen bilateral ties. It placed Cambodia's business interests in a setting where Canadian commercial networks and institutional representatives could engage directly with them.
The dialogue was organised by the Asia Pacific Association of Small and Medium Enterprises, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Saint-Laurent-Mount Royal, and the Cambodia Chamber of Commerce in Montreal. Ambassador Christian DesRoches, Chanphirum Kim, Vincent Kou and Kelvin K. Mo were among the distinguished contributors acknowledged by CanCham.
Business, legal and diplomatic connections
On the same day, Ngo also represented CanCham at a private luncheon-conference hosted by Fasken. Ambassador DesRoches joined business, legal and diplomatic leaders for an exchange on professional relationships and further avenues for Canada-Cambodia collaboration.
The two engagements brought complementary groups into the conversation. The strategic dialogue connected trade and regional interests, while the luncheon provided another setting for professional exchanges across business, law and diplomacy.
CanCham thanked the organisers and the Fasken team for hosting the meetings. The visit continued the Chamber's work of connecting its Cambodia-based community with people and institutions in Canada who can contribute to a stronger commercial relationship.
