CanCham Cambodia joined an evening of cinema and dialogue at Institut français du Cambodge on 25 March 2026 as part of the Cambodia International Film Festival.

Supported by the Embassy of Canada in Cambodia and the Québec Government Office in Singapore, the programme brought Canadian and Cambodian connections into focus through film.

Short films by Cambodian-Canadian filmmaker Laurence Ly explored migration, identity and resilience, themes that connect with the experiences of Cambodian families who rebuilt their lives in Canada. The evening closed with Mlle Bottine, a Québec comedy addressing family, healing and strength.

The gathering provided a cultural setting for dialogue between the two communities, with shared stories at the centre of the exchange.
