Financial inclusion and women's empowerment were central themes when Romny Theam, ABA Bank's Executive Vice President and Chief External Affairs Officer, reflected on her career and approach to leadership in a recent interview.

Drawing on nearly two decades of experience, she described a career spanning banking operations and external affairs. Strategic partnerships, digital transformation and access to financial services were among the themes she linked to Cambodia's economic development.

The interview also considered the role banks can play in supporting women through access to finance, financial literacy and business opportunities. Theam encouraged younger women to take on challenges and build confidence in leadership, placing integrity and purpose alongside professional development.
